IN MEMORIUM

Ni~Na, a Pacific Parrotlet, was a tiny bird with a big personality.

She enjoyed taking sunbaths and looking at the oak tree outside her window. And, while she was quick to give a nip if she did not know you, she loved nothing more than making kleenex nests and snuggling with her mom, Candice, for head scritches.

Ni~na was a wonderful feather companion and is deeply missed.

Tutti the Red Breasted Toucan
Tutti passed on August 1998.

Tutti was a much loved companion of Dr. Stevenson's and the Exotic Bird Hospital for many years.

She was a Red-Breasted Toucan (Ramphastos dicolorus) a quick judge of human character. She either liked you or did not and she made it quite clear which way she felt.

A favorite game of Tutti's was catching a tossed grape in mid air then flipping it down her throat.

Spike had a difficult start in life. A five week old pup, he turned up after Hurricane Hugo at pier 5 on the docks of San Juan.

Gravely injured, he was taken home and fixed up by the Smiths and spent the next 18 years in their company.

Spike was the best companion one could wish for and he is deeply missed.
