Rico is a one year old African Grey who enjoys sunbathing in his window while watching the wildlife outside. His friends the ducks greet him each morning with a tap on the window.

Rico enjoys eating corn on the cob, apples, pole beans, almonds and Harrisons pellets and his Mom keeps him busy with toys. He likes to watch Animal Planet and has learned new sounds from the show, such as barking, screeching and chirping. He loves to visit his Godmother's home and play with Zoey, her Blue and Gold macaw. They do everything together, from talking and singing to even eating and sleeping.

This is Zoey, a free-flighted 16 year old Blue and Gold macaw and best friend to Rico. His favorite foods are apples, almonds and Brazil nuts.

Zoey loves attention, and will make all kinds of sound effects to get you to come over and scratch his head. He loves chewing on wood, hiding in cardboard boxes and chewing them from the inside out.

Situated right at the front of the home, he knows everything that goes on in the neighborhood. If you are new to his home or intruding in his territory he will make sure to greet you with an ear bursting scream followed by a "HELLO"!

Spice, Ravens Fan Spice is a Maryland "Racer" retired in Florida. She shares her aviary with four other pigeons that have been together for over two decades.

Over two years ago, she received a 'doomed' prognosis of "hopeless", but she continues to be energetic and extremely active. Her hearing, vision and reactions are superior to other birds. Along with her daily doses of medication, she enjoys pomegranate juice, dried peas and thistle. She LOVES NUTS! Her favorites are Brazil nuts and walnuts.

Several times a week, she lays by her water dish and allows her mate "Jackson" to preen her head feathers with water and style her a spiked "hair-do".

Sweet Pea Samuel is a Quaker Parrot who really knows his oats.

He and his special friend Diane enjoy having breakfast together.

Here is Romulus (Latin - meaning "forceful").
She is the off-spring of Maryland racing pigeons.

Romulus met her mate "Rocky" when both were in the care of a bird rehabilitator. Their devoted loyalty has lasted 25 years.

Last year, they left the harsh winters to retire with their family in Florida. They share their newly constructed split-level Aviary with 3 other 'rehabilitated' pigeons.

Romulus enjoys sitting on her sand beach watching the small lizards. She has a great appetite for a variety of food. Her favorite meal is a combination of Thistle & White Millet, sprinkled with yellow and green split peas, served with a side dish of licorice-flavored Grit.

This is Riley. Dr. Knight is his Godmother. Riley is here today thanks to Dr. Stevenson and the EBH staff. He had a difficult start in the beginning.

After 3 rounds of this he ends the cheer with Goooooo Gators! Love, the Gators, Albert is a Gator, Yeah! Then he happily sings the Florida Fight Song while Riley sings with him and the other birds in the room dance.

This is Olivia, fondly called Livy. She is the "smartest" and most "beautiful African Grey!" She will often tell you this incase you can't figure it out yourself!

Livy just celebrated her 13th birthday. She is highly respected by all of the other birds in her home. Livy loves to dance to the tune of Rock Around the Clock and she sings her own version of "I love my Livy." Her best friend is Albert, a blue and gold macaw. Together they are often heard doing Florida Gator cheers. Her favorite is Orange and Blue.
